Comprehensive podcast site solution

I decided to move my podcast's online presence to Podpage after trying a few other options. The ordering process for the Podpage Elite Plan was straightforward, and I appreciated the clear pricing. Setting up my site was surprisingly quick; the RSS Feed Integration worked flawlessly, pulling in all my episodes instantly. I then connected my Custom Domain Hosting, which also went without a hitch. The automated episode pages are a real standout feature, saving me a ton of time. I also started using the Listener Mailing List, which was easy to set up. Delivery is instant, obviously, since it's a service. I haven't needed customer support yet, which I guess is a good sign.

Mostly good, minor issue

I signed up for the Podpage Pro Plan and generally I'm happy with it. The Podcast Website Builder is intuitive, and getting my site up with the RSS feed was super fast. I also liked the Podcast SEO Tools; it seems to be helping with visibility. The only thing I found a bit clunky was the Custom CSS Editor. It works, but it's not as user-friendly as I hoped for specific tweaks. Overall, it's good value, and the service has been reliable. Just wish the CSS part was a little smoother to navigate.

Pretty chill way to get a site

So, I finally got around to making a website for my podcast. Heard about Podpage, gave it a shot. Honestly, it was pretty easy. I just hooked up my RSS feed and boom, pages started showing up. I used one of their Podcast Website Templates. Didn't have to fuss with much, which was nice. My listeners can find stuff way easier now. It's a pretty smooth setup.

Good value for annual plan

I was looking for a website builder for my podcast and Podpage popped up. I went with the annual Podpage Pro Plan since it saved me a good chunk of change compared to paying monthly. The 14-day free trial let me set things up and make sure it was what I needed before committing. Got my site running pretty quick. It felt like a solid deal overall.

Are there any current promo codes floating around? I'm trying to sign up but wanna save a few bucks if possible.

L Laura Nguyen 2 months ago
Not sure about specific codes right now, but they always have that 14-day free trial. Good way to test it out without paying.

I didn't find any when I signed up, but paying annually saves you a good chunk, like 15-20% I think. Worth considering if you're in it for the long haul.

Does Podpage host your actual audio files, or do you still need a separate podcast host?

G Gwen C. 2 months ago
Nah, they don't host your audio. You still need a regular podcast host for that, like Buzzsprout or Libsyn. Podpage just pulls from your RSS feed.

It's just for the website, not the audio. Think of it as a fancy front end for your podcast, pulling all the info from where your actual episodes live.

Hey, thinking about signing up for Podpage. Is it really easy to just plug in your RSS feed and go, or is there a lot of messing around to get it looking decent?

A Andre 2 months ago
Yeah, it's pretty much that simple. Connected my RSS from Libsyn and it pulled everything over perfectly. Had a basic site up in like 15 minutes.

For sure. The templates are good enough to start, and you can tweak colors and stuff pretty quick. The biggest time sink is probably writing your 'about me' section, lol.

How long does it typically take to get a basic site up and running? Like, from signing up to having something live?

D David 2 months ago
Seriously, under an hour for a basic one. Connecting your RSS is instant, then just picking a template and adding your show description.

I think it took me maybe 30 minutes to get the core site live. Customizing it to perfection takes longer, obviously, but a functional site is super fast.

How does Podpage compare to using something like WordPress with a podcasting plugin? Is it actually better for podcasters?

A Alex 2 months ago
It's way less hassle. With WordPress, you're always dealing with updates, security, and plugins breaking. Podpage just works.

K Kevin 2 months ago
Depends on how much control you want. WordPress is super flexible but a lot more work. Podpage is streamlined for podcasts, so if that's all you need, it's probably better.

I'm thinking about setting up a site for my podcast, but I also have some video episodes. Does Podpage handle video stuff okay?

D Dana 2 months ago
Yeah, they added video podcast support recently. I haven't used it personally, but it's listed as a feature now.

D Derek 2 months ago
It supports it, but remember it's not hosting your actual video files. You still need to host them somewhere like YouTube or Vimeo and link them up.

i'm running a non-profit podcast, is there any kind of special discount for that?

C Carly 2 months ago
I remember seeing something about a non-profit discount in their FAQs. Might be worth reaching out to their support directly to ask.

T Tom Bennett 2 months ago
Yeah, they do offer one! My friend got it for their community podcast. You probably just need to prove your non-profit status.

Can I use my own domain name with Podpage, or do I have to use one of theirs?

B Ben Brooks 2 months ago
Yep, you can totally use your own. I connected my custom domain pretty easily, just had to update some DNS records.

N Neil 2 months ago
It's one of the options. They walk you through it during setup. It's not too complicated if you've done it before with other services.
